This is, to my knowledge, the first ever photo of an explosion on the surface of Mars.
That plume in the distance is the exploding Skycrane, having just delivered the Perseverance rover on 18 February 2021.
Immediately after delivery, Skycrane separated and flew to a safe distance to crash.
