do you think Americans understand how essential Canadian potash is for growing stuff or how much they rely on Canadian hydroelectricity and oil yet or no

I used to think that solar was bad because the battery tech wasn't equivalent to fossil fuels.

Turns out, I was completely wrong.

Pairing wind, solar, hydroelectricity (dams), and nuclear power would be almost perfect.

Trump just walked away from a 61-year-old treaty that powers nearly 40% of America's hydroelectricity. And Canada's Prime Minister Mark Carney, isn't blinking. He isn't calling. He isn't asking for a do-over. He's letting Trump face the consequences of his own stupid actions..

The Sierra Club took more than $26M in donations directly from the natural gas industry while they were fighting to block transmission lines meant to bring low-carbon Canadian hydroelectricity to America

at the time the Sierra Club was opposing building a power line across a river out of concern for the views of million dollar estate owners when not building the power line meant keeping a notorious coal plant online another two decades instead of using excess capacity from a nuclear plant

If 🇨🇦Canada needs to ban exports of oil, gas, potash, hydroelectricity, aluminium and critical minerals to the 🇺🇸USA in order to respond to their trade attacks, then so be it.
The rest of us will then need to share the costs with the affected provinces.

The White Stripes makes me think about that philosophy of science concept where a field gets extremely advanced and sure of it self right before it’s about to be overturned by a new discovery- we got perfect old rock and roll guitar blues the instant that stopped being popular

Cragside is amazing - built by Victorian inventor Lord Armstrong, it was the very first house in the world powered and lit by hydroelectricity. Nestled among dramatic rocky hills and huge pine woods, containing all sorts of clever Victorian gadgetry. I could spend days here!

This is great to see! Removing *all* the dams in the Pacific NW would not be feasible due to providing flood control for major cities plus about 45GW of hydroelectricity, but there are still more rivers and individual dams where it would make sense
Chinook salmon have returned to the Klamath River in Oregon after being absent for more than a century. The announcement came roughly a year after the last of four major hydroelectric dams on the river was demolished.
