I had always known that my great-great grandfather on my mother’s side, William Roy, had lived in the Ayrshire village of Kilmaurs, but it wasn’t until I saw the 1891 Scottish Census data that I realised he and his family had lived on Hemphill Row, presumably in an area once used to grow the crop.

There are a few things I did enjoy about Ted Lasso s4. Alice Chilton. Gemma Jay. PB&J now owning the pub. Henry! But I could have done without all the Keeley & Roy stuff and I found the Zelda thing wholly irritating.

Oh, of course, that's just normal fandom etiquette (or at least used to be...). I might not get parental!Roy and Riza at all, but I'd never comment that under someone's art or fic. After all, it's not for me, and it clearly brings joy to that specific person.

It is an interesting topic, tbh! I kinda get why people want to push for parental Roy and all that; it seems to be a comfort thing in some part, so I'm not really judging; I just can't relate to it at all. Then again, a lot of people can't understand why RoyEd is a thing, so it is what it is.

Right, I imagine that Roy & Riza being pushed into parental roles for Ed & Al must be quite common in Royai fics? At least, judging by some fanart I've seen. And yeah, I never got that type of parental vibe from either Roy or Riza. Why can't they just be role models, or people Ed & Al can confide in
