September. Already. Wow. Least said, soonest mended as they say. I’m not really sure what is happening to time, but it sure don’t flow like it used to. Maybe I’m just getting older. Maybe I’ve just been really busy, but whatever the case, just wow. It’s been a week. A rainy one on occasion, so I’ve done nothing exciting. My car needs an expensive(ish) repair, so there is that, but aside from that, it has just been me and my books. And too many biscuits but we won’t dwell on that …

And there we have it. Another month gone. July is here and we begin the slow count down to Christmas and the New Year. Don’t groan. They are closer now than they have ever been and the speed of time in directly impacted by how little you want it to pass, so if you embrace the holiday season the longer you have to get ready for it. Don’t blame me. It’s just physics (or something…). I haven't done a lot this week other than attended work, a management meeting and shopping, so here are some ducks etc from my morning walkies.

In this post, we share Scottish author Ian Rankin’s 10 rules for writing fiction.
