The IESO needs to rethink its plans for Toronto: phase-out the Portlands gas plant and invest in energy efficiency, renewables and storage.

Despite most of solar power generation in Ontario being hidden to IESO, the control room can still see the impact of weather (such as clouds) moving over populated areas with distributed solar PV generation. If you get an opportunity to tour the control room, do so! Very impressive.

Just all out cut Ontario electricity shipments to the USA tomorrow, permanently until the tariffs end!
