Now to determine how civilised the orbital pass times are over #IO81QK
Rumour is that @g7kna.co.uk is going to try using #GPredict with #GQRX to provide Doppler Shift to a #SDRPlay RSP 1A SDR which sounds like fun
ARISS SSTV Series 33 will feature images focused on student education, transmitted from the International Space Station October 2-6.
This special Expedition 75 SSTV event is just 9 days away. Get your SSTV software and decoders ready!

Just in time for the holidays and New Year, we're planning an SSTV event from December 25 to January 5. Celebrate with us with some great memories of ARISS 2024 in this series.
It all starts 1 week from today. Watch for updates as the start time gets close.

Now we have the timings we can update our pass predictions for #IO81qk and schefule our Social Media alerts.
Transmissions will kick off on Friday May 8 around 10:30 UTC | 6:30 AM ET.
With the ARISS-USA.org domain currently off-line, we ask you hold your decodes and we'll announce when you can upload your images for certificates.

Hopefully @sbarc.co.uk members such as @bigbernie.bsky.social @kingnerd1963.bsky.social and @g7kna.co.uk will pick up on this

It's an appropriate collaboration between ARISS Russia and USA as we celebrate the Apollo-Soyuz Test Project. Also, it's been 40 years since SSTV in human spaceflight, so we'll celebrate STS-51F as well.

ARISS (Amateur Radio on the International Space Station) have organised another SSTV Experiment from the ISS over the Christmas/New Year break. It looks like a lot of the passes over IO81qk (the GX4WAW Club House) are in the early morning.

They are, of course, correct the dates should have been 14-07-2025 and 15-07-2025. The times, however, are, at least approximately, correct

There were 21 viable passes over #IO81qk, possibly a few more marginal low angle passes that we didn't list
One of our members reports having configured his #GPredict setup to correct the frequency on his #FT817 for Doppler Shift
Don't forget to submit for your certificate. Upload at least one original decode to ariss-usa.org/ARISS_SSTV/ before late Friday to get in on the award.
