intercommunity queer fighting makes me really exhausted but it's definitely worsened on days like today where we're actively having our rights stripped away.

I think it should be clear that *ALL* cis queer political movements struggled with how to include trans people, and especially trans women, into their orgs, newsletters, activist groups, etc. Transphobia is an intercommunity issue and, if we're being honest, lesbians are not the ones lagging behind
I think lesbians aren't ontologically terfs and thinking so is plain old lesbophobia.

In conclusion, the real question that determines Bluesky’s survival is this: will top-down choices and policies allow communities to use this site the way they want, or not? I really don’t see intercommunity debate as a barometer for much of anything.

What's happened is complicated & there's multiple layers of intercommunity & intercommunity struggle at work, but the ADL taking a more centrist or even conservative tack because it sees itself as prioritizing Jewish safety & opposing literal *defamation of the Jewish community* is coherent politics

sounds a lot like i’m muddling through reinventing “stay woke” from first principles for non-black people, but “be aware of the ways the world is built to harm you & try to move deliberately without letting it ruin your life” is a great intercommunity lesson a lot of people worked hard to obfuscate.
