It was such a pleasure being back on TVO with Irshad. Thanks Steve, as always.
On a segment called Friendly Fire, @revmichaelcoren.bsky.social and Irshad Manji fiercely debated hot topics on Studio 2 with @spaikin.bsky.social. With career changes and political lines crossed, what has the duo learned over the last 30 years?

30 years ago @tvotoday.bsky.social broadcast a weekly debate between myself and Irshad Manji called Friendly Fire. We're recording a final round, a reunion, in a few weeks. Irshad and I are now good friends so I wonder how it will turn out?

We are days into the new Parliament and Sarwar is already facing pressure to remove the whip from Irshad Ahmed (which would make Reform officially the second-biggest party in Holyrood).

30 years ago Irshad Manji and I appeared every week on @tvotoday.bsky.social in a debate segment called Friendly Fire. It wasn't very friendly! Over the years we've both changed, grown, and become good friends. The story is told on The Agenda on April 25th.

I wonder if Marra will do anything about Irshad Ahmed or whether the mysterious cursed amulet that makes you incompetent that they give every Scottish Labour leader will begin to work its eldritch power on him before he can do anything.
From the reported feud with Sarwar to the criticism of briefing culture (read: Jackie Baillie culture) to the promise to seek answers on Irshad Ahmed’s selection - Marra seems to be trying to carve a lane for himself as the “clean up Scottish Labour” candidate.
