I already made a normal map once and then drew on the texture afterwards. Now I want to redo the normals and it comes out when baking through the Jbake addon 🤬🫠😵

Certainly, a Hugo-like native image would be cool.
Regarding jbake forking... I just have to find the time to enter that realm. I got enough ideas already. I personally use jbake already including the Asciidoc extension.

This sounds interesting, I know the creator of JBake pretty well as he helps to organise the Manchester JUG with me. I don’t think he’s on here yet but in the spirit of OSS I’m going to speak to him to understand the challenges with JBake in more detail

For me, personally, Asciidoctor 3 support and continuing Apache Freemarker support would be most important. I also added some features to my blog which should be, in my opinion, part of the default feature set: multi language, meta tags, etc:

If you want to bake normals I recommend the jbake addon, it simplifies a lot the baking process

kkk, eu ia responder a do @jeffquesado.ulivre.dev tem treta não, mas no ano passado eu analisei umas 4 opções diferentes, Jekyll, Hugo, Hexo, Pelican... não conhecia o jbake, e agora to interessado em usar Javinha também pra isso ;P

This repo also includes the old Drupal DB to html extractor and then the post-processor is JBake taking these files and using FreeMarker templates to create proper web-ready html. This runs a little jetty server so I can browse the site and make changes as necessary.

The current plan is to build a pipeline of all the reviews (over 700!) to convert all the reviews into something simple that JBake could read and spit out a simple, static, templated site. Of course this is a multi-step process of converting the content and building a new site template.

Took way too long but after going through awestruct, Hugo and jbake I now landed on Jekyll to drive http://xam.dk - took ages but was fun. Next is to get either staticman or http://webmention.io working so I can fully nuke http://disqus.io.

Folks, I took the liberty to use #AI to rip out QuestDB from #JBake and also migrate to JDK 21 minimum. Opinions?
It renders jbake.org and my very own blog. Opinions? I would open a PR because QuestDB removal was on the list for a while.
