The smallest, lightest-armed Coast Guard johnboat could've interdicted every one of these "vessels" without a shot fired. Choosing to kill under these circumstances is not war, it is murder and every person in the chain of command from the president to whoever fired the weapons is culpable.
If I’m in any kind of disaster and need urgent rescue, I don’t want nerds I want good classic rednecks. Nerds are going to panic and overthink potential rescue options while rednecks have already assessed the problem and pulled me out of the danger onto their truck or johnboat.
