it's json but with trailing commas, bare keys, but using '#' instead of `//`, which is probably the only difference between this and json5 heh

Not super involved upstream these days, but just saw the k8s project is creating a subset of YAML, called KYAML, that eliminates a lot of the problems of YAML. It is essentially “less annoying JSON”.
