This unassuming little church in Kewstoke had the most beautiful Norman doorway inside. During renovation they discovered a Thomas A Beckett reliquary hidden in a wall. A monk brought it there from the priory I went looking for, to keep it safe during the Dissolution.

Here's our first glimpse of the church of St. Paul in Kewstoke on the #ScamperDownTheSomersetCoast. Unlike the purely C15 churches so far this has C12 and C13 in its DNA but although the usual C19 restoration and rebuilding #StPaulKewstoke #Somerset for #SteepleSaturday
