#Landlords
Prompt kiddies are like landlords. Absorbing resources like a parasite and offering nothing to society.

Let me just show you what Landlords do.

Give $100bn to Landlords, all that happens is they buy houses that have already been built and rent goes up even more.

If you give $100bn to building houses you can have nearly 1m new homes.

Then you won't need Landlords.

Nearly 200,000 families will be pushed into poverty or deeper poverty due to govt decision not to end the freeze on housing benefits.

Budget increased tax on landlords, but no rent controls. Expect landlords to hike rents.

Poverty will increase.
190,000 to be pushed into poverty by Labour freeze on housing benefit
Exclusive: Leading charities warn that the decision will ‘undermine’ Andy Burnham’s pledge to end rough sleeping

There are 800,000 (1.2%) Landlords in the UK.

They own 6m houses (25%) of the accommodation.

They are one of the biggest problems in the UK.

Foxxo ran on a once considered controversial platform of 'eggycare for all, no tax on boops, and death to all landlords'

Why aren’t Detroit landlords able to charge the same prices as San Francisco landlords?
November 1, 2026 at 9:34 PM
Short term landlords are still landlords
November 2, 2026 at 8:20 PM
should put some witchcraft into it re: banishing all landlords
November 1, 2026 at 10:35 AM
Yes but if I fundamentally misunderstand vacancy statistics and landlords’ financial incentives and have a conspiratorial view of capitalism then it becomes clear that landlords are manipulating the market by holding units vacant for the long term instead of renting them out at lower prices.

This is money that could be spent on building social housing, but FFG prefer to line the pockets of local and international landlords.
The Irish State currently pays out about €1 billion per year in various rent supports and subsidies.

cut spending then. Do it. Cut the fossil fuel subsidies, the handouts to tradies and landlords and expensive snobby schools. Cut the public spending on surveillance and weapons industries and the consultants and tech investment in human misery. Defund police.
