#LGBTQ+stories
Supremes say parents can opt out of letting their kids listen to LGBTQ stories. Can parents similarly opt out of kids listening to stories that DON'T have LGBTQ themes or incidents? 🤣

The revisions have scrubbed or softened accounts of violence, slavery, activism and lived experiences, raising questions about whose stories the government considers worth telling.

We unequivocally support the stories of ALL readers being on the shelves of libraries. This includes stories with LGBTQ characters. #FReadom

Liberal outlets need to start doing “drumbeat” coverage of the real villains in America like the way right wing media pushes stories about immigrants and lgbtq. We need stories about evil insurance companies and church/cop pedos to highlight the rot of conservatism.

Today is the last day to comment to the FCC that LGBTQIA2S+ names, stories, identities don't need a warning label. This new potential rulemaking is an attempt at criminalizing the mere fact of being trans or otherwise queer, in the name of discrimination, bigotry, and persecution. Tell them no, now.

My fellow cis folks,

The FCC is asking Americans to submit comments about whether the TV Oversight Management Board (TVOMB) should create new TV ratings to alert viewers to trans/gender content.

Time to be an ally and tell the FCC absolutely the fuck not. It takes five minutes to do.

LGBTQ+ stories are not “scary.” Our stories exist in movies and shows because we exist in real life.

Our stories matter because our stories are how we change hearts, minds, and policy. Join us in telling LGBTQ+ stories by sharing yours: hrc.im/MillionVoices

I decided if they could use the slippery slope argument, so could I. What's next, a label for content that includes POC? Women? Thank you, @authorkaraj.bsky.social, for teaching me about the Comstock laws because I threw those in my comment too.

LGBTQ+ women have always made history. We are powerful, we are resilient, and we are NOT going anywhere.

This was an invented moral panic. The NYT and Fox News ran more stories about trans people than the Advocate, an explicitly LGBTQ publication. It was the exact same story in the UK. The media fanned the flames of a moral panic.
Just started doing new data analysis and I know I keep saying this, but: I really, really don't think people appreciate how much this moral panic was a deliberate and extremely expensive invention.

Saying LGBTQ+ stories are obscene simply because they have LGBTQ+ characters implies real LGBTQ+ people are obscene just for existing. It's propaganda to change public sentiment that would allow criminal punishment for queer folk for existing.

The fact that both the WSJ and the Guardian have retracted their trans and leftist stories related to the shooter and now a day later a new one is being formed about a possible "trans roommate or lover" shows how desperate they are to pin this on someone who is LGBTQ+

I acutally looked at the books that Sam Alito thinks are pro-gay propaganda designed to "indoctrinate" children. I've read my kids a million stories like these. There's nothing objectionable about them, unless you find the *existence* of LGBTQ people objectionable ballsandstrikes.org/scotus/mahmo...
