My ranking of LHG main carriers would be: OS, LX, LH, SN. Not flown on Ita yet.

AirBaltic will fly routes on behalf of Air Dolomiti and Brussels Airlines based on a DOT filing requesting that those flights be included in UA* codeshares. It is part of the expansion of wet lease ops for Lufthansa Group announced recently, and adds to ops for LX, LH, OS.

As to the flying chefs, yes some of us have seen this before 😉 and tbh the food and drinks used to be better pre-COVID. That said it is still better than anything on LH or LX, OS being the exception.

Star Alliance on its own can't fix anything, really. Maybe the JV of UA/AC/LH/LX/OS/SN gets involved and shifts fares a bit, but hard to see too much motivation for them there. And even then only AC offers a routing that isn't significantly out of the way.

OS is another airline that needs to figure out long haul aircraft WiFi… :-)

I’ve only done LX J, LH F, and OS intra-Euro J. I can’t pout about any of them, but I suspect if I was a European, I’d have far more to say…
