Ryan C. McIlhenny’s biography of Lawrence Gronlund is worth reading. Excellent intellectual history and writing, insightful consideration of his ideas and influence of "The Cooperative Commonwealth" on socialist and working class politics in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century.
