Red-breasted merganser, this was a larger gizzard shad that he caught, it took a couple minutes but he managed to swallow it.

Lake Winnebago provides some great fishing for nesting ospreys in the area during the summer months. This is one of the rare times that I was able to get some shots of one making a catch.

On Monday, a #tornado struck the Fox Valley area of Wisconsin, destroying a wide swath of the city of Menasha. It also triggered a #meteotsunami in neighboring #LakeWinnebago. A meteotsunami is when a meteorological event causes large waves in a body of water. 🌪️🌊
