Organic chemistry meets landsnails!
The vast majority of shells spiral in only one sense. Amphidromus are an exception; they can be of either chirality.
If any org profs would like photos of mirror image pairs of snails, I have many - make your Biology majors happy!

Polymita venusta is a very colourful and variable landsnail from Cuba (Santiago de Cuba Prov.). The yellow form is the most common.

Liguus fasciatus is a highly variable landsnail native to Florida and Cuba. Unfortunately, an invasive New Guinean flatworm is decimating this species in Florida. Attempts to repopulate them have led to some novel hybrid forms.
