Maybe I'm weird but the fact that LibrePCB is strategically moving towards Rust is quickly making it more attractive to me. I've been a happy KiCad user for almost 10 years but I've seen my share of crashes, bugs and various "C++ problems".

If you are migrating legacy designs to LibrePCB, you don’t have to start from scratch. LibrePCB version 2.0 includes a built-in import tool for Autodesk EAGLE files. Before we start, keep in mind: The importer only supports XML-based EAGLE files (v6 or later). You told us you’d love to order components only. Good news: that’s already been possible with Simple Supply. Less good news: it was a bit hidden. So we fixed that. 😇

Right next to where you upload your PCB design, you’ll also see an option to work on your BOM only.

最近はUbuntu PCでLibreCAD (2D), LibrePCBを使用している。
FreeCAD (3D)はまだ使っていない。
オープン ソースかつ無料でこうした実用的なCADが利用出来るようになっているのは非常にありがたい。

Kicad is extremely good but a bit overwhelming for people getting into PCB design, for that group of people I'd recommend librepcb much less feature rich but also much more beginner friendly

I’ve got a 4 layer keyboard/macro pad pcb I’d love some feedback on. It’s my first design in like 30 years and Back In My Day we didn’t use fancy tools like “computers.” I’ve implemented in librepcb but can spit out gerberfiles which seems to be the lingua Franca in this space…
