Third-wave cisfeminist millennials found out about hrt, lost their minds in the process, and still can't process that gender and patriarchy are ontologically linked.

Complaining about AI scraping is just the same way about how big corporate complaining their infra getting scraped without consent (usually not through official API) and turned their services into alt frontend (yt-dlp, Invidious, Nitter, Proxitok, Libreddit, Freedium etc). While morally its […]

it's going to be one of the "alternative frontends" like libreddit but I haven't investigated much.

Them making Reddit hard to access finally got me off the damn thing.

You could use one of those privacy focused front ends like libreddit if you just want to browse and not comment. There are a bunch of unofficial apps which also work like stealth.

Nitter is an alt frontend for Twitter (there's a few of these alt clients for centralized services like invidious.io or github.com/libreddit/li...). I forget if selfhosting Nitter requires at least one twitter account to proxy everything or it does some tricks with opengraph embedded link data.

Oh this is beautiful. Seeing as Reddit's odious CEO talked about mods as "landed gentry", /politicalhumor has taken him at his word – and made everyone a mod. If you want a textbook definition of malicious compliance, look no further.

Try using an extension like Libreddit for alternative frontends to things like Tiktok. Anyway, for convenience's sake: proxitok.lunar.icu/t/ZTNuGWFPB/

I also use kagi and have been for a couple years now. It’s great, highly recommend. Its the closest I’ve found to “google back when it was good”

Also you can do cool stuff like URL redirects on the results if you want to use a privacy front end like libreddit for Reddit search results

I tried libreddit and redlib. Libreddit homepage is hacker compromised and the repository is years-stale. Redlib has the same annoyances of content being excessively spread out that the vanilla new-reddit has. I'm sure redlib is more private, but that's only half the reason I liked old reddit.

Can anyone from the UK confirm a subreddit requiring ID verification can be accessed without through a Libreddit/Teddit/Redlib instance? (if the link below is down just reload it again to go to another instance)
