Starting in 26.4, selecting "tinted" stopped UI elements from shifting between light/dark based on background content. I’d love to see how the slider affects that in 27. I‘d prefer to use dark mode/transparent, but avoid this sort of UI shifting while scrolling. mastodon.social/@chbeer/1151...

If, like me, you're still avoiding LiquidAss and switched to "18 public beta" updates to stop the nagging for iOS 26, you should disable that and update to yesterday's iOS 18.7.8 which also works on phones capable of running 26. After that, you can enable the beta updates again (which won't come).

A tiny, tiny difference in font size bothers me to no end many times a day: «Verbinden …» is smaller than «Gerade aktualisiert» in iOS Mail. Feels like a fly buzzing around my head that I cannot catch.

If you put your iPhone or iPad in beta update mode to avoid them nagging you to install iOS 26 with LiquidAss, you should disable it and install 18.7.7 (bottom of the screen "also available") with *very* important security updates. Then re-enable iOS 18 beta updates to stop the nagging.

Is it time to surrender to LiquidAss? I have an iPhone 13 Pro which is old by now but works fine. Definitely not ready to pay €1000+ for a slightly better camera. Problem is it CAN run iOS 26, so no updates beyond 18.7.3. They're now up to 18.7.7 and I might be missing important security updates.

Apple's "liquid glass" is an utter failure in UI. Unresponsive, slow, they should have called it liquid shit. I'm glad the guy who made it and most of his team moved to a shittier company. Good Riddance. #apple #liquidGlass #liquidass As far as I'm concerned if Apple should revert these changes

Has any of the apps I use daily had become better (more usable, more functional, faster) in last months thanks for AI agent revolution?
I don't think so. NetNewsWire has become better but I'm not sure it's because of AI agents.
