@cozywordsloc.com were really easy to work with, if you need localisation I would highly recommend them!
localisation maybe? if someone selects the “he/him” or “she/her” toggle you can be *reasonably* sure you can render that in, say, the Spanish UI as “él/lo” or “ella/la”, which isn’t necessarily going to be the case for any given custom combination

With OOT remake out, let's remind you that in French, the Deku Tree is called "Arbre Mojo" because "Deku" would be pronounced "Des culs" that is to say "Some asses". In the game, you would then have "Sticks of asses" and "Nuts of asses". "Mojo" in french can be tied to magic and spirits.

Ar tonelico 1 and 2 (PS2) - Another game by Mana Khemia's devs but has a much bigger focus on story, although both Ar tonelico games have good but unconventional turn based battle systems. 2's official localisation is very bad though so make sure to play the fan translation instead.

Lunar (originally on Sega CD and PS1 but has a modern remaster) - Another game by Grandia's devs but has a lot more whimsical tone that makes it a really good representation of what classic JRPGs are like. However the localisation adds a lot of out of place jokes that may be a turn off.
