From MBoC: How do cells coordinate their movements as a group?

New research shows how vimentin helps connect individual cell movement with coordinated collective migration and efficient wound closure.

I was so excited I screenshot and cropped out an important part of the cover! 😂 Sorry @ascbiology.bsky.social! Here is the full MBoC cover.

Wow! We got the cover! #MBOC #ASCB #CellBio
So proud of #TeamTestis. Screening <270 lines for shape defects was a huge team effort!

I created this collage from the team’s images from the past 2 years! Depth-color-coded with Fiji. Inspired by late 19th century lithographic animal illustrations.

except MBoC doesn't offer the same service, Mark. There are elements of the eLife model that society journals don't implement and I know of scientists who have had their papers rejected from MBoC after review

I should know, I have tried to argue for a similar shift at both MBoC and Genetics

Are you an ASCB member?
Submit you work to MBoC. From today, all members’ papers thoroughly reviewed. No desk rejection!

Sarah Clark spent two years with us. Early on she worked with postdoc @maikbischoff.bsky.social, co-authoring 2 papers & she then led & trained a team of postbacs who carried out a genetic screen defining subsets of cell junction proteins in action in mesenchymal cells, now in press at MBoC 2/n
