Limited access leads to black market use, and often misuse, or tainted drugs. For those struggling with trauma, there is medicine and human support on its way. I think the fact that many people (including myself) on /r/mdmatherapy report successful solo MDMA therapy also suggests that therapy is not necessary. The reports often mention classic signs of trauma processing, so I don’t think they’re just incorrect.

This belief is very common in places like reddit.com/r/mdmatherapy from newcomers who don’t know what they’re doing. But there are also a lot of people who find they can easily do effective therapy at home by themself with MDMA.
