i went to an open mic once and said "there's a Niles, Illinois but not a FRAISER, ILLINOIS??" and the reaction was so huge that it ruined it for all the other open micers and the host told me i was not allowed to come back

The cool thing about having done standup so long is you pick up so many acquaintances & open micers over the years and you can see their gradual descent from "not funny but a good dude" to "oh huh they moved" to anti-vax/white nationalist/Disney adult lunatic

We concluded the first day of #PoParoundtheGlobe with performances from poets from 8 countries. Our headliners were Shantanu Anand (IND), Raphael d'Abdon (ZAF), liz breslin (NZL), and Katharina Wenty (AUT).
