something I noticed from the Kevin Scott event that Microsoft did in advance of #MSBuild2025 was the number of people talking about the early days of the web and how different the web would have been if one company pushed to take control: throwing subtle shade on OpenAI by comparing them to Netscape

A lot of mixed feelings on #msbuild2025. Incredible new tools for enterprise development and I can’t recall ever being so excited about a single SQL Server release as I am for 2025 all overshadowed by the layoffs, bringing in Grok, and giving “special access” to AI tools supporting genocide.
