And also as I've noted a few times on BBS, the "correct" AMS apportionment last month was 24 Reform vs 20 Labour MSPs. "Labour GAIN Paisley!" for example isn't an additional Labour MSP, it's an additional Reform MSP. You think Scottish Labour are miserable now, now imagine they are Properly Third!

Finally looked up what transit there was from MSP to the AMS/SMT conference hotel and I genuinely love that the train runs all day and drops us off just 2 blocks from the hotel.

On today's flight from AMS-MSP the soup is a Thai inspired coconut soup, served with smoked salmon. The main course is a fish and prawn curry. The wine is a South African Chenin Blanc, full bodied with good freshness and acid. #avgeek

Labour accepted the compromise of AMS as they assumed they'd have a majority of those FPTP seats sewn up; right now, per BBS model, FPTP is handing the SNP a 16 seat advantage, at the cost of 5 Labour, 4 Reform, 3 Lib Dem, 3 Conservative and 1 Green MSP that "should" be elected under ideal AMS...
This is a function of having 73 constituency MSPs elected by FPTP and 56 MSPs elected by regional list vote using d'Hondt.
The cause isn't the number of parties, but the differential number of parties appealing to different shares of voters - a problem that has plagued unionist parties since 2014

I figured east Africa would be important. Wondering about India, of course, since India is a no-go for US operators now. And since the ME-3 don't serve MSP, connections are funneled over LHR, AMS, CDG and FRA. Not a lot of discount options there.

What is wrong with AMS? I like it, I feel that my vote counts. I have a constituency MSP and with two votes I was able to vote for two parties, both of whom I feel bring positive contributions to Scottish Parliament. What don’t you like about it?
