#ManyLanguages
Just the place (syntax) where we would like there to be greater cooperation, right? For having dominated mainstream linguistics for this long, one would think there would have been collaborations across #manylanguages in syntax.

Take #ecrs away from what could be truly impactful work. Working with frameworks such as #Manylanguages @manylanguagesc.bsky.social then seems like a deterrant to achieving professional goals.

All of this is largely possible due to the tenacious spirit of @timoroettger.bsky.social. Please join us in solving a long standing problem in #phonetics, #phonology and #speech #perception #bts #manylanguages @manylanguagesc.bsky.social #diversity #replication #generalizable #science

This month, we’re highlighting two interconnected #ManyLanguagesChallengeOfTheMonth challenges that sit at the heart of scaling ManyLanguages projects across diverse linguistic and cultural contexts.
March 27, 2026 at 3:44 PM
This is an especially important topic for ManyLanguages as we aim to include as many languages, communities, and cultural contexts as possible. Your experiences can help us build more resilient, inclusive, and globally workable research tools. (4/4)

Project management becomes a crucial skill necessary for managing large teams such as ManyLanguages projects. What has particularly worked for you in the past. And what did not work for you at all?
This month, we’re turning our attention to the realities of project management in academia — something that affects every Big Team Science project.

We at ManyLanguages face a fascinating yet complex challenge: We try to scale up empirical efforts across cultures and languages. But how can we reach and incentivise participation of researchers from the Global South. We would love to hear your thoughts!
