Another thing (which might not be news to you): I looked into Martinism (Delville and Merrill were both martinists, as I learned in one of the Pilon letters), and this below is the seal of the Martinist Order. It doesn't shed any light on the identity of the model, but it could explain the triangle.

You do hear a lot in our spaces. The reactionary drifts of all the Freemasons, Rosicrucians, Golden Dawners, or Martinists. People still ignore it, still pretend "we are all on the same team". The truth is, people are essentially scared shitless of conflict.

So, now I'm reading about the Martinists and I read that Louis-Claude de Saint-Martin was a bit obsessed with Böhme. If the universe is trying to tell me something, I plan on ignoring the universe, for now, at least.

Some of the superficiality is due to heritage from French Martinists doing reconstruction; I do however find it mildly compelling that Dee's Daughter of Fortitude reads somewhat like The Thunder: Perfect Mind.

How did Merrill meet her? Was it really through Delville? We know the two men socialized in 1896 while Merrill was in Brussels. We know they were both Martinists.
