We need more people speaking up about this. Please help. It’s pretty basic.

I’m at my first chemo appointment for breast cancer and I’m the only one wearing an N95. You’d think that, when you already have cancer, the last thing you’d want is COVID. It’s concerning how far we’ve strayed from science.

Masks on.
Infections down.
Masks off.
Infections up.

Infections…
If I didn’t know any better, I would swear there was a pattern here.

Effective December 18, Nova Scotia Health is requiring everyone to wear a mask in their facilities. 👏👏👏

Please protect yourselves and others during this season of illness by wearing a mask, staying home when sick, getting vaccinated, and increasing ventilation & filtration.

Did you know it was several decades before handwashing in hospitals was implemented after it was found to be necessary in 1846? We’re in the same boat today, except w/ airborne transmission—yes, in 2025. Unfuckingbelievable. So unnecessary, maddening, irresponsible, & dangerous. #MasksInHealthcare
This isn’t fearmongering — it’s reality. Hospital-acquired COVID can delay care or cost you your health — even your life.

Infection control measures — masks, ventilation, testing, and staff/patient protections — should be standard care in every healthcare setting.

Spain hits back: Masks are mandatory again

Spain’s Health Ministry warns of rising flu and COVID this winter and mandates masks in hospitals, primary care, long term care, and elderly facilities in high-risk areas to protect at risk people, prioritizing nursing homes and immunocompromised patients.
Spain hits back: Masks are mandatory again
Spain’s Ministry of Health has issued a warning over rising flu cases as winter approaches, preparing to require masks in hospitals, health centres, and elderly-care facilities…

What’s the easiest, fastest way to tell whether your doctor follows the science on COVID? See if they’re wearing an N95. Because if they truly understood & acknowledged how dangerous COVID is & how airborne pathogens spread, they’d be protecting themselves—and their patients. #MasksInHealthcare
Most doctors I encounter do not follow covid news or keep up with Covid science. They are understandably super traumatized by their experience at the start of the ongoing pandemic. But we need everyone to snap out of it and get back to following news & staying abreast.
I was at a doctor’s office last week discussing preventative care. She ended with “and, of course, get the flu and Covid vaccines in the fall,” and I was like “do you still think we’ll be able to?”
Her response was “what do you mean?” Like, she was genuinely surprised why I would ask that.

Clinical Vulnerability must be recognised under the Equality Act to embed their protection in law and decision-making, ensuring they are not relegated to the second-tier of a two tier system again.

Norovirus is up 15% but can also be airborne. So many hospital beds are blocked up due to airborne infections and our government constantly ignores this problem.

I felt disgusted & hurt watching the HIPAC video where every HCW but one voted against using respirators for all airborne infectious disease in hospitals

Patients are dying & being disabled due to nosocomial covid. Don’t wait for a mandate. You don’t need permission.

Mask up now!

A Plea to Maskless Healthcare Workers from Vulnerable Patients
If you see a mask - wear a mask. Better yet - wear a mask all the time and show us you understand that we're still IN a pandemic. We are depending on you to keep us safe - please don't betray that.

Thank you for advocating for this. Airborne pathogens such as COVID can cause long term problems months or years after the acute infection. Patients should be able to receive care without becoming infected with one. #MasksInHealthcare

You thrilled to surgeons washing their hands before surgery. Now ask that your doctors & healthcare workers wear good masks such as N95s so they don’t infect you with airborne viruses while you get treatment. After all, they did take oaths to do no harm.
#MasksInHealthcare
When you get a vaccine or a medical checkup, we expect the healthcare worker to wash their hands and wear gloves.

We should think the same about wearing masks in medical settings. Viruses can spread pre-symptomatically; masks are another effective infection control measure.

Like a seat belt, you have to wear the respirator for it to prevent an infection.
