At least 22 years, based on what I've found!

This really is nothing new.

But the propaganda to pretend that "other" religions are behind the posters is absolutely a 2026 phenomenon.

It's that time once more. The trees' annual shit. Waste pumped into leaves before abscission. Mundane yet beautiful.

#StainedGlassSunday West window, depicting the history of Chester at St John’s Church,a former cathedral in Chester. The date of foundation 689AD by Æthelred King of Mercia is likely to be set aside & revised to the 3rd/4th centuries, it’s possible that is one of the oldest in Europe still used.

"Contaminated" is such a judgemental and loaded term. At the end of the day we are all stardust, whether we're a turnip, a slug, a rat, or a single, orphan tourist visiting Mercia. Does it really matter what temporary corporeal form we have at any given moment*?

Today's the feast of St Chad, 7th Century abbot and bishop in turn of both Northumbria and Mercia. He stands outside of Lichfield Cathedral, Staffordshire, where his shrine was until it was destroyed at the Reformation. His brother was St Cedd, evangelist to the East Saxons.

Is that any way for someone who aspires to the highest position in Mercia to speak?
