We need a progressive ecosystem with protest movements and think tanks that don’t just create policy proposals, but also develop playbooks to get them signed into law. We need our own version of the Heritage Foundation, funded solely by grassroots microdonations. By the people, for the people.
We need a People’s PAC. Fundraising efforts and think tanks that aren’t for corporations or either party, but whose sole mission is to lobby for the strengthening of our democratic institutions and the middle class.

Change starts with us. It’s time to launch a think tank focused on progressive policy and advocacy, driven by grassroots microdonations. The goal should be to inspire voters and build a roadmap for elected officials to make meaningful change. No corporate money, just the people’s voice.

There are people I know locally here in the Decatur GA area who work to help moms get temporary housing through microdonations because of the way DFACS is so aggressive about taking kids away from their parents. Many times, these moms *are* working but don't make enough to pay rent.

A good point. When you look at the likes of Wikipedia and IA, they have a big enough userbase to sustain themselves via microdonations (as good as asking for your pocket change once in a while) to keep the corporations at bay. I'd happily support a social media platform ran the same way.
