AI-Powered Image Analysis 2.0 - On-Demand
Join our one-day online workshop on AI-powered image analysis for PhD students, professors, and professional researchers, led by Nikolay Oskolkov, Group Leader/PI at LIOS. This intensive hands-on seminar bridges rigorous theory and practical implementation, showing how to turn microscopy, high-throughput imaging, and clinical image datasets into reproducible, publication-ready measurements. Participants will work with ChatGPT-assisted coding, Jupyter notebooks on Linux, and Python-based tools to build end-to-end image analysis workflows covering CNNs, transfer learning, UNet, Mask R-CNN, object detection, OpenCV, OTSU thresholding, Bayesian uncertainty quantification, GRAD-CAM interpretability, evaluation metrics, experiment tracking, and reproducible reporting. By the end of the workshop, attendees will be able to design and implement segmentation, detection, and classification pipelines for biological image data, critically evaluate model performance, and prepare robust analyses for theses, papers, and grant applications. The seminar is delivered live via Zoom, with recordings, slides, code, data, and a monitored Q&A forum available for 30 days after the event, plus an official Instats certificate of completion. #ComputationalBiology #DataAnalytics #DataScience #MachineLearning #BiomedicalEngineering #Bioinformatics #ComputerScience #ArtificialIntelligence #ChatGPT #Jupyter #Linux #Python #R #Research #ResearchTraining #Instats

Diffractive Super-Resolution Microscopy
Magnification 100X Objective Lens Magnification. I could not find details on the colors. For live imaging it could be live dyes, proteins with FP tags, Ai based segmentation of cellular structures that are pseudocolored or a combination of these.

Very interesting. If this is based on research published here:
www.nature.com/articles/s41...

Then this article seems to contain one problematic reference (#15) with a DOI mismatch. Could be an LLM.
Another issue is reference #13; could it be relevant?

The link states that the cilia were imaged with "diffractive super resolution microscopy" which is not a technique I have ever heard of... anyone??

Apparently based on this paper? (which at first glance does not seem as outrageous as the Nikon video)

Machine learning system can identify cancer cells based on how they scatter light
Cytological tests are a common method of screening for cancer cells in stained cell samples. Using a microscope, pathologists examine cells collected from bodily fluids, looking for telltale signs of malignancy, like enlarged nuclei or abnormal cell shapes.
