Though I could also use today’s prompt for Minnyka hmm because Nyka once led Eorzea to a new dawn and then Minfilia led Nyka to the First (could also do Exarch Minfilia AU~)

I mash their names together, as was the style in fandom when I first discovered it. Lyseka, Minnyka, Alinville, Alincred, Alinden, catfish (Merlwyb x Louisa), Shaystinien, Josus (though it’s very onesided), Wukgrace

Notes: Happy wolfilia week! They were trapped, and Veronyka knew it. She glanced behind herself, seeing only the sheer drop off of the cliff directly into the morbol and mudpuppy infested swamp, and hissed, ears flat. "Minfilia!" Veronyka cried, glancing around for something, anything, that could save them. There had to be some way out, or Papalymo would think of something but he was quite caught up trying to keep the Garleans asleep with sleep spells, aided by Urianger, of course, while Yda darted around here and there doing her best to hold back the approaching colossi. Veronyka's heart thumped in time with their stomping footsteps, the ground shaking beneath her feet, her black mage staff held in front of her, her lips forming spells that she barely had the energy for. Yet she would cast if she must, to protect her precious Minfilia.

Notes: Wolfilia week day 3! Philia had been easy. Naught more than absorbing some slightly warmer than usual aether. It did feel weird, yes, and Veronyka did sway on her feet a little afterwards, but she attributed that to the battles that had come before. And then there had come the anguish of meeting the slight girl with pale blond hair and glowing blue eyes, the girl who shared the name of Veronyka's lost love. But Veronyka had managed to deal with that, in a way far better than Thancred, and she wasn't too shy to say so to his face.

Notes: Why not finish Wolfilia week by going all out? 1. Veronyka ran. Though the heels on her shoes, worn nice for the dinner tonight (and mercifully kept on during her imprisonment), made running difficult, still she ran. There was a small stave for casting spells tucked into her garter belt, hidden under her nice black dress, yet Minfilia had urged her to run. Even when Thancred fell back with Y'shtola to distract their foes, Minfilia bade her to keep running.

Notes: Wolfilia week day 6! Minfilia watched as her love ran away. Her heart ached, teeth clenched, eyes stinging with tears, yet she turned and ran the other direction, towards where a part of the tunnel system was caving in. A flash, the sensation of falling, flying, pulled towards some inexorable end. And then it was over, and she opened her eyes to see… not the crystal that she had expected. Minfilia blinked, confused, looking around for anyone other than the giant form of a woman who appeared before her. She looked a little like a hyur, though her ears were more like fins, great wings protruding from her back. Yet she was not floating, as Minfilia had expected. No, she was on the ground, sitting, looking down still at Minfilia. “Hydaelyn?” Minfilia asked. The figure smiled, and it was beautiful.

Notes: Written for FFXIV Polyamory week. I love writing about the babies, truly. "M'lizhka, get back here!" "I've got her," said Minfilia, scooping up the wriggling toddler in her arms. The miqo'te giggled, then tried her best to bite Minfilia's arm with her tiny milk teeth. She succeeded in drooling all over the canid's skin, but that was it. "Thank you," said Veronyka, her shoulders sagging. "What would we do without you?" Minfilia smiled at her, bouncing the child in her arms, though she still kept a firm grip to ensure that M'lizhka wouldn't wriggle free.

Notes: Wolfilia Week Day 5! Taking some liberties with canon here because I think there should be a nice little train station in Everkeep that the one train in Tural can come and go from. "Did you know that some are calling this the time travel train line?" Veronyka asked as she found a seat on said train to sit with Minfilia. "Yes, I have heard that," said Minfilia, giving her (past? Future?) girlfriend a fond smile. "Quite a fitting name, in my opinion." "I agree," said Veronyka. "Because if you leave Everkeep, you're going to the past where those you left behind thirty years ago have barely aged a day but if you enter Everkeep, you'll see technology that seems... futuristic, somehow."

Notes: That line in the original Dawntrail trailer about "Could you have held fast to that you hold dear without sacrifice" had some wild theories at the time and spawned this idea. It never really went away. "And for you, our most esteemed guest." Veronyka's ears twitched as she turned to look at the woman, or rather the facsimile of one, who stood before the group at the entrance to what Wuk Lamat had dubbed 'Living Memory'. Sphene smiled, as beautiful in death but not death as she was in life. "A gift."
