So he did in the spring of '68 and he took me to the local modelshop to buy proper cement and square bottles of Testors paint. With his help I put it together, painted it and boy was I proud when it was finished. #Airfix instructions enabled me to read English at a fairly early age ;<).

Was planing to go to a new place 4D Modelshop and planing my trip and disappointed to see it’s nearly closing time so missed my chance… They close for lunch for a hour and makes me want to go even more now. Their site seems grate with freelance artists and model making tips.

The best bit of watching new films when I was still working in FX was figuring out how colleagues in the industry had done stuff. A mate who ran the Lucasfilm modelshop a while back said his job had been transformed by CGI into an officer manager.
