Moston, Cheshire: folklore has it that the village was once renowned for its apple orchards. One harvest, a large winged shape swooped above in the Cheshire sky. It was a dragon, attracted by the orchards who terrorised locals until Sir Thomas Venables headed out to defeat the beast in combat!
