Today is Holocaust Memorial Day. 80 years ago today, Allied troops liberated Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp.

2 years ago I had the huge honour of interviewing one of the survivors, Kitty Hart-Moxon. Then aged 95, she was extraordinary. Here is our conversation

Moxon, whose name autocorrects to “login,” is being self effacing but you really should read his stuff
Hey everyone shut up for a minute and listen to spaghootighost, he's making a really important point that we aren't talking about enough.
If you haven't been reading A. R. Moxon this year, here are twelve great places to start.

A.R. Moxon is always worth reading, but it's extra-true here.
If, like me, you grew up in the 80s, you likely had to deal with bullies. It was a pro-bully sort of time; majestic herds of bullies roamed our nation’s proud cafeterias and schoolyards.

This is probably true of any era. Each era has been far too kind to bullies. www.the-reframe.com/soon-you-too...

"You can't defeat bad ideas by adopting them. You can't grow a coalition by selling out its members." Another useful piece from friend Moxon.
I wrote about why the regrettable conclusions of Ezra Klein pissed me off so badly in the last couple weeks.

On moral cowardice in an era that calls for clarity, and a popular political instinct to try to solve divisions of abuse by ignoring causes. www.the-reframe.com/eventually-y...

„Historiker haben einen Begriff für Deutsche, die der NSDAP beitraten – nicht, weil sie Juden hassten, sondern aus der Hoffnung auf einen wiederbelebten Patriotismus, aus wirtschaftlicher Unsicherheit, aus dem Wunsch, ihre religiösen Werte zu bewahren [...].

I'm into this. Moxon is first rate.
Over the past years, people have suggested they would like a book of my essays. How many people are interested? Here's a crowdfunding experiment to see.

Moxon doing the L-rd's work here and venturing onto X to find out exactly what these weirdos mean by "apologize for being white"
Today I wrote about our white supremacist political movement's perverse insistence that "we don't have to apologize for being white anymore."

Conservatives have been apologizing, apparently. Did you know? I had no idea. So I asked, and here's what I found.

Today on the CI blog: guest blogger A.R. Moxon @juliusgoat.bsky.social's on fire.

"Any action other than regular, consistent, impeachment tells an incoherent story about matters of fire. The reality of the situation really is that bad."

I like the way A.R. Moxon put it, except I think "total capitulation to fascism" is over the top. "Normalization" is more like it.
Soon after pedophile-pardoning Ken Paxton attacked his opponent with a creepy line of gutter bigotry, NPR covered it in a way that took that grotesque sexist transphobic framing at face value, putting their total capitulation to fascism front and center in the media landscape.
