Well, apart from some minor tweaks, this bad boy is done I reckon.

Mistigram: the spooky new MIST1026 artpack features eerie creations in vintage computing formats, from #ANSIart to #ASCIIart to #teletext to #BBCMicro hirez graphics. These specimens demonstrate the range of its charmingly pixelated horrors. You can check it out today at the 16colo.rs web gallery!

< The #BBCMicro version of this was first seen by us as little (very little) infant scool kids, perhaps we were 6 or 7. It was utterly, utterly terrifying. And brilliant. We LOVED it. Our first introduction to computers CIRCA 1983-4 and who knew that machine would birth a genuine classic: ELITE..? >

Couldn't come up with an original idea for the title screen, so thought I'd keep it old school and make it look like the Beeb screen :) What ya think ?

I made another Claude assisted thing. It was still a good 6+ weeks of work and probably not possible without it. Squeezing 210K of arcade ROM, with hardware tiles and sprites, down into my beloved BBC Master. 1942! bitshifters.github.io/posts/prods/...

I have just released Lander for the ARM Evaluation System.

So that's the first ever ARM game running on the first ever ARM chip.

See this Stardot thread for details: stardot.org.uk/forums/viewt...

Fly safe!

Added Econet support to my BBC emulator MacBeeb - along with a "Network Studio" for visualising a network and the ability to join BBCs together, using Econet, over the Internet.

Wrapped it up in this nice distributed Mandelbrot generator.

Been working on porting Eye of the Beholder (the classic 90s D&D dungeon crawler) to run on the #bbcmicro

It needs a Master 128 and even then is a squeeze using all the sideways RAM, some of the screen RAM, and the shadow RAM for code and data. Emulator is my new MacBeeb.

U64 BBC BASIC 1.0.0 is out: the BBC Micro's BASIC 3.10 as a cartridge for the Ultimate 64, with a BBC-style MOS. BBC graphics modes and teletext, SID and sample sound, an REU RAM disk and networking.

I've added a game launcher to MacBeeb. There's some other stuff too - a Finder extension, a disc explorer / editor. You can grab it here:

Created a Mac native BBC Micro emulator in Swift. Really a port from a combination of BeebEm, b2 and jsBeeb - they did the hard work. Adds a debugger, MCP and hopefully feels like a modern Mac app, auto-updating. GPLv3 and you can get it here: github.com/JamesRandall...

Some of you may not have heard this sound for a long time. Here's an 'under the hood' look at what happens when you read data from a 5.25" floppy disk. Magnetic media that can still be read 40 years later. #bbcmicro #diskdrive #floppydisk #magneticmedia #retro #computer
