#N95s
You mean like wearing N95s and running large HEPAs in each room like they did at the start of this thing?

If you have to go to work, or out to the drugstore, or wherever, wear one of those nice N95s we got used to during Covid. If everyone wore them when they had a respiratory bug, we'd all get sick less often.

Then they put it on upside down (agency claims their staff all have training on wearing N95s but it sure doesn't seem so) and acted sullen for the first half of the visit.

Day in the life of an immune-vulnerable person 😠

Health agency agrees N95 masks worn at all times in home. It's on my chart. Free masks are beside outer door. Eye-level suite door sign w/ pics says: No entry without N95!

Unmasked aide, after literally just knocking on signed door: We need N95s?

This ∨ is a thing

「 I’m not sick, I just have allergies ! 」

Well that’s great because pollen is massively bigger than respiratory aerosols and N95s are ridiculously effective at blocking them for you
P.S. if you have seasonal allergies, masks really help!!

Husband and son see skin doctor tomorrow for moles, 45 minutes each up very close. They'll be wearing N95s and taking one for the doctor. I'll tell my husband (who usually is ok with doctors not wearing a mask) that our son is NOT to have the appointment if the doctor won't wear the N95.

We got our #Nuvaxovid shots in Saanich last week. As we were heading out the next appointment was arriving. They had N95s as well. We were the only ones masked.

I pointed it out to the nurse as I suspect the overlap is high.
If you’re looking for where you can get the Nuvaxovid Covid vaccine in Toronto, I emailed OPDPInfoBox@ontario.ca to ask for the full list of pharmacies in Toronto so you don’t have to. Call ahead to confirm they received them, wear your mask and be well, my Covid-aware friends! 😷🫶 Thanks Jeff!

Another great thread of note. How does SARS-CoV-2 compare to flu?

New paper out in Lancet Regional Health Americas, with Alicia Grima, Natalie Wilson, Simran Mann, Ashleigh Tuite and Clara Lee. How many Ontario deaths are attributable to respiratory viruses, and how does SARS-CoV-2 compare to flu? 🧵 doi.org/10.1016/j.la...

"We are not living in a sitcom; we do not return to the status quo at the end of the episode."

An important thread for our times. The medical establishment appears to be more concerned about the protection of egos than people.

Big thanks to my buddy tiger, Jet for hooking me up with some N95s face masks so I can fly to see my friend safely and avoid catching anything nasty on the plane😷💙🐾

One more of the dozens of ways Republicans steal elections.

Never forget: Kudlow advised the president to get everyone infected in April 2020, nine months before N95s or vaccines were available. Resulting in more than one million needless deaths and injury of everyone.

KUDLOW: Is it possible that if Peltola wins, she won't be seated?

COMER: That's a big possibility

To the question: "Do you still take precautions against COVID (& other airborne pathogens)?"

• There is no such thing as a benign viral infection
• People neither stay home nor mask when sick
• Few places meet new ventilation standards
• Even mild colds suck
• N95s work

in research the ducky masks performed best out of all n95s used by regular old folks :D

Saw two people in N95s. We waved. Always a nice surprise

n95s n95s n95s - when are hospitals going to require n95s??? A

(aerosol spread not withstanding, they're so much more comfortable than surgicals which lay against your mouth, urk :P)

I wish I had enough N95s to give fellow patients who are trying to protect themselves but (bc public health has failed them) they don’t know how

HAIs are ramping up & they’re so preventable
October 31, 2026 at 4:44 PM
This is not without precedent. In April 2020 they decided to get everyone infected, nine months before N95s or vaccines were available. Resulting in the needless deaths of over 1 million citizens and injury of every GD one of us. Why? Election year and it’s the economy, stupid.

Great sentiment

ABSOLUTELY crucial for mandated N95s to prevent airborne transmission🙏

Just a heads up,HCWs WON’T be protecting patients bc there’s0️⃣ accountability/enforcement&they just don’t want to🤷🏻‍♀️

Even pre op & recovery nurses refuse to😷,like at all,so let er rip I guess🫤

Patients need safe🏥

Pulling out my lich mask to wear for a Halloween party tonight and like…Jackie and I really ate with these

Great memories of wearing N95s in her house watching crafting YouTubes while we painstakingly E6000’d all those crystals on

The article and these 'experts' continue to propogate a sense of uncertainty about the relationship between COVID infection and increases in heart attacks.
The causation relationship is real & prevention of COVID infection MUST always be the goal.
Fitted N95s are the best layer of protection🙏

Oh wow that’s fantastic it’s a negative pressure room and they wore n95s? You really should be in the clear
October 31, 2026 at 7:21 AM
Due to it having negative pressure or whatever you call it. The first person didn't seem to think they'd even have N95s around but someone else must've done something because later I was told everyone would wear them (& I saw quite a range of them).
October 31, 2026 at 7:21 AM
Oof.

They insisted I take it off in the room where I had the procedure (which they said was a negative pressure room). Put an oxygen mask on me, everyone else in the room was supposed to be in N95s, I was probably first procedure in the room of the day. It didn't take long. Yet I worrry.
