Last night we lost power because our neighbours telephone pole was shooting sparks. NLPower took care of it in a couple hours.

I am on an EPP so wasn't paying attention to the underlying usage rates. But I took a closer look given all the recent kerfuffle. I think we have a reporting problem, NLpower. I don't believe for a single moment that last month I used nearly 700 kw hours more than the same month last year.

When our home was still oil-heated (i.e., heated), our electric bill would nearly double come winter. NLPower blamed the temperature. I had to explain to NL Power that, as we didn't use electricity to heat our home, the temp would have no bearing on our usage. They charge based on temps, not usage.
