Toto pohoří se nachází v Číně, na hranici s východní Indií a i zde dosahuje Himálaj sedmitisícové výšky.

Leží zde 7782 metrů vysoká Namcha Barwa, podle niž se pohoří jmenuje, jedna z nejvyšších hor světa.
