#NatSec
i think a lot about how serious FP/natsec people follow me and instead get this instead of my articles

Tom is not a comparativist and you should not listen to him on this.

Just like you should not listen to me about natsec strategy
This, my comrades, is why Proportional Representation is not a great idea.

Imagine trying this with 350 million people across 50 states

going around and asking all the natsec posters if they see a blob

NatSec obviously

Hey, my conservative natsec friends have predicted nine of the last zero regime collapses, so don't be too quick to knock it.

Anyways, since I should pivot back to natsec/FP related posts to avoid the eye of Sauron (TradCaths mad about Malfoid on Twitter), may I remind you of the music video that former National Security Advisor Mike Flynn was in? (as well as a former Pussycat)

Need anymore proof that Musk is a traitor and NatSec threat?

I found an EXCELLENT bioinformatics job to throw in an application for, and then I realized it was a company doing biosurveillance for defense and natsec and was backed by Peter Thiel.

It’s the same reason they keep propping up all these conservatives who turned on Trump. Yes let’s reward his former press secretary and natsec advisers, they’re gonna give us the secret intel. It’s the same bullshit Dick Morris sells on the right.

"colonize the global South not Ukraine" is the foundational belief of NatSec Liberals.

Haley Stevens is Christian and Zionist, but she is not a Christian Zionist. Her Zionism stems from being a Natsec freak and a bigot against Arab Muslims, not a desire to bring on the end times.

Because you can’t trust the services to cooperatively work on natsec policy without a minder and you can’t trust OSD to not fuck things up without unbiased and direct input

Natsec nightmare.

Why didn’t you win Afghanistan quickly, or at all?
Your own NatSec advisor, Gen HR McMaster, called your resolution of Afghanistan a U.S. surrender.
November 2, 2026 at 8:25 PM
I agree. The NSS is “tell me you don’t understand national security without telling me you understand natsec”
November 2, 2026 at 5:22 PM
Didn’t you know, Mike? Fox News & ICCC are also incubators for natsec geniuses so they can run a 3 million person cabinet department like they’re starting a car.

The root of the problem is the bipartisan, multi-decade decision to abandon NASA and use gov't resources to stand up private alternatives.

No one saw the natsec implications of handing control of the top of a gravity well to a private business wholly controlled by a single owner.

It's worse than that. Israel has no strategists in their senior military or natsec ranks. It's all tactical. Avraham Shalom, former director of Shin Bet summed it when he said in an interview "Rak taktik, lo strategik." Only tactics, no strategy.

It's the Atlantic. Graeme Wood's recent Gaza coverage all the way back to his "What ISIS Really Wants" a decade ago. Portrayal of Islam, Muslims, & particularly Palestinians can't be a surprise to their readers at this point. Islamophobia, establishment liberalism and hawkish natsec is the brand

Special - The National Security State and the Midterms w/ @kenklippenstein.bsky.social

I genuinely don’t get why we don’t discuss renewables as a national security issue! There’s no Strait of Hormuz to close when it comes to sunlight!

It just feels like an entire narrative/persuasion strategy left wanting because some people have decided the right wing owns natsec as a concept.

A self-described investigator w/ natsec background & no digital footprint all of a sudden uncovers a major story, pretends like its only audience is 10 friends, shares it in an empty blog, & disappears after it's noticed by large media without ever following up?

Yeah, right

9/9

I should apply to FDD so I can get paid to write things that amount to "Democrats say Trump's war on Iran is """"unwinnable,"'"" but all they would have to do is time travel back to February 2024 and persuade the Biden admin to mobilize 2 million ground troops. Do dems really take natsec seriously?"
October 30, 2026 at 5:20 PM
Anyone who has read me here, at the mothership, or both know that I am a serious critic of the Israeli government & its policies - domestic, foreign, natsec, regarding the Palestinians, etc - especially when Bibi & his ever more extremist coalitions are that government. 4/
