The US has run a government surplus 4 times in 50 years, fiscal 1998-2001.

I remember a moment when the Treasury bond market worried we would stop issuing bonds. 🤯

He's increased the national debt by $2T, in fiscal year 2025.
So much for DOGE. He's just taken a bunch of money from programs to help the middle class and funneled it to his wealthy friends.
Your tax dollars at work... for the rich.

Ah yes, the pandemic that Biden was left to clean up after. So let’s ignore the entire pandemic timeline. Tell me, on this graph, does the deficit go down, or up after Trump takes office?

In case you were wondering about the deficit, it's no good. These fools are spending money like the Treasury is their personal ATM. That's our money and our debt to carry.

Yes ... I was just talking about games associated with countries. Monopoly was mentioned.

As I understand it, when Nixon took US currency off the goal standard, stuff called "fiat money" became the coin of the realm. The value of which is determined by how successfully its PR campaign works.

Besides his attack on a Republican woman, he is wrong that the Biden administration blew up the deficit. Unless Biden was president in 2020 and no one told us, Trump was president when the deficit blew up.

Efficiency? The US national deficit has increased by 38% compared to this same period last year. The last time the US had a balanced budget was under Clinton -- achieved by taxing the rich. The current regime plans to lower taxes for the wealthy.
