SBI Group and JR Kyushu Partner to Launch "JQ BANK" Financial Super App by FY2027
SBI Holdings, along with its consolidated subsidiaries—SBI SECURITIES, SBI Shinsei Bank, and SBI Neo Financial Platform—has formally reached a basic agreement with Kyushu Railway Company (JR Kyushu) to enter into a strategic business alliance. The partnership aims to launch a joint financial super app, tentatively named "JQ BANK," combining SBI’s financial technology with JR Kyushu’s regional customer base. The service is targeted to launch within fiscal year 2027, subject to JR Kyushu securing a bank agency license with SBI Shinsei Bank as its principal bank. ## Sign up for Japan FinTech Observer Cutting through the noise of Japanese Finance & FinTech Subscribe Email sent! By integrating SBI’s Financial Platform as a Service (FPaaS), JR Kyushu seeks to enhance customer lifetime value (LTV) and build a seamless ecosystem linking transit, local lifestyle services, and comprehensive banking. Key planned integration areas using the JR Kyushu Web ID and JR Kyupo loyalty points system include: * **Banking Services (SBI Shinsei Bank):** Provision of BaaS-driven accounts featuring ATM withdrawal fee waivers, fund transfers, and special rate housing loans for JR Kyushu customers. Yen deposits will feature an automated sweeps mechanism ("SBI Hyper Deposit") linking directly to SBI SECURITIES trading accounts, alongside JR Kyupo reward point accruals based on deposit balances. * **Brokerage & Investment Integration (SBI SECURITIES):** Enabling credit card-based mutual fund dollar-cost averaging via the "JQ CARD". Users will also be able to redeem accumulated JR Kyupo points to invest in domestic equities (including JR Kyushu shares) and mutual funds, as well as access simulated point-investing features without opening a full brokerage account. * **Cross-Sector Ecosystem Rewards:** Integration with JR Kyushu’s "JR Kyupo Waku Waku Program" tiering system, offering exclusive railway perks, hotel/real estate discounts, and retail rewards linked to financial app usage. * **Broader FPaaS Offerings:** SBI plans to gradually introduce insurance, foreign exchange (FX), crypto assets, stablecoin settlement, and AI agent capabilities into the super app framework. * * * SBI Shinsei Bank Partners with Regional Lenders to Boost Structured Finance and Local InvestmentSBI Shinsei Bank has entered into a “Regional Growth Investment Partnership Agreement” with 14 regional financial institutions. The agreement establishes a joint framework in structured finance aimed at expanding participation opportunities and fee revenues for regional lenders while facilitating the circulation of growth capital across local economies. RT @DimitrisPapail: One of the worst forms of brainrot AI has cultivated is pessimism about basic research, ie the idea that important work can only happen inside a frontier/neo lab and only with 10k+ GPUs, so the rest should not even bother. What a bleak way to think about science. And it's false.

... Carnap is an odd figure because he has this very dry way of writing but he was genuinely immersed in Romantic thought, as well as some Neo-Kantian ideas and early gestalt psychology, in ways that only occasionally peeked through in his published work. See e.g. the pictured quote ...

Not any neo-party, it's the parents failing their children. Also letting them grow up without basic know-how. Children are dumber because parents are checked out.

What people are starved for is the capacity to care for themselves in an increasingly unsustainable and rigged economy where the most basic necessities of life (housing, food, utilities, medical care, education) are expensive, low quality and controlled by an oligarchy bent on neo-feudalism
uh, let me be clear, *most unclear and wishy-washy drivel conceivable*

“No kings?”

Obeezy sold out. He ruled as a Neo liberal immigrant deporting drone king who bailed out the rich on the backs of workers.

But at least he sounded good while he did it, right? The orator.

Libs are fckd up on a basic level.

OS X peaked in the ‘00s for me. Still use it as a) habit and b) doesn’t feel like ‘work’. But back then it was head and shoulders better as a user oriented OS than anything else.

Since then - more gimmicks and others caught up.

Macs are best when basic. Neo is a lovely consumer device for £600.

My 9 Animes

They might be old and a little basic, but these are probably the most significant shows and movies for me, even if I will never watch Neon Genesis Evangelion again.

Taking out and putting in is a corner shop, OBR neo liberalist argument. Currency issuing gov with fiat money don’t have to worry about ins and outs as such.

You need to be thinking in terms of GDP. What proportion of our ‘resources’ are we allocating to giving old people a basic income.

On U.S maga neo-nazi, extreme Zionist, Stephen Miller. See the horrific dehumanising anti-immigration 'othering'. This is also what is meant when they say they are 'anti woke'. Supporting multiculturalism and human diversity and basic human decency/integrity blocks fascism in its tracks
From 2021 to 2025, Stephen Miller was making $567K/year as head of his America First "think tank." He owns $100K-$250K in Palantir stock alone. His estimated net worth: ~$2 million.

The immigrants he's deporting to third-party countries to be tortured and disappeared don't get an attorney at all.
Katie Miller, who is a co-conspirator in actions Elon Musk took that will kill millions, RTs interview of Maggie Haberman describing that everyone is counting on pardons, whining that "her family" had to pay for lawyers. (There is abundant evidence Trump paid for it & ALSO laundered $$ to Stephen).

Anyone have any experience with the Macbook Neo? Would you recommend it?

Mainly looking for a basic device for use on travel (Netflix, web browsing, photo uploading, etc).

Mark Broadhurst applied to join the Army in 2022, was accepted and entered basic training in May 2023. He then worked as a chef at Catterick Garrison - Britain's largest army base

He was a far-right extremist who made a gun and explosives at his home and was networking with a neo-Nazi terror cell

We need to stop thinking of the EU as some kind of social democratic "paradise". The EU is going through the same kinds of neo-liberal austerity that we are going through.

According to this WHO study up to 20% of Europeans have catastrophic health-related costs.

Neo Geo MVS
The Simpsons
Cyber Troopers Virtual On
Terminator 2 pinball

Honorable mentions:

Mechwarrior battle pod (not an arcade machine)
Ms. Pac Man (basic, but a constant childhood memory)
Terminator 2 light gun cabinet.
You are given three arcade games and one pinball machine to put in your home. What are they?

Things like Skee-Ball and Pop-a-Shot don't count.

Extraditing activists to illiberal regimes weaponizes judicial tools against dissent. Where court independence is gone, extradition violates basic human rights. Neo-reactionary politics are turning cross-border law into political repression.

Also, I know I’m a week late, but the argument that “regulating politics and having basic standards against terrorism? That’s what Hitler did! If you ban a literal neo-nazi party, you’re like Hitler!” is the most disgusting fucking argument one could have ever made. The straw man of all straw men.

One more thought I should..... either draw or write Neo doing another hypnosis experiment on Techa but he records it for 'research' and makes her do basic knowledge recall and then slips into having her swear loyalty while hittin it from the back. She feels incredible and happily submits 🥴
