Company I do the majority of work for announcing a shift to NET60 pairs nicely with today’s weather fuck me should’ve been an astronaut

I've seen some folks get upset or confused in the past when companies they collab with or do sponsorships with don't pay up the day after deliverables, but that's probably because the contract was for Net30 or Net60 terms! It just means they have that number of days to pay post-deliverables.

When did the invoicing for my old toy job, the rule was usually that all small businesses (places w/ a single store, or maybe 5 or less smaller locations) were given Net30, but big chains like Indigo started at Net60, and some negotiated up to Net90!

feels like NVIDIA moving from NET45 to NET60 should be a bigger deal

Net60 is bullshit

Being paid Net60 is ridiculous and basically criminal. It shouldn't take two months to pay someone for translating god knows how many pages of manga.

I have a love/hate with net60 payment terms. I’d prefer net30 🥹

It’s sucky for sure. My experience is the larger a company is the longer they take to pay invoices.

Did they specify a net45/net60 payment term? Worth asking just to know what to expect.

To all the cleints / directors who pay right after the session / shortly after... I love you.

To everyone who is stuck with net60 / net90 clients, I understand, but that doesn't mean I have to like it 🤣

By and large, most of the projects I've been involved with have gone smoothly and with a minimum of pain. Just about every Lionbridge project, on the other hand, has been an absolute nightmare of mismanagement and zero communication on top of subpar rates and NET60 payment terms. Not great!

I've now received not one, but TWO MT post editing requests from the big, dumb, penny-pinching translation agency with NET60 payment terms that rarely credits individuals. How about, hmmm. no

I’ll check, because I need to move Brighter’s 9X branch too net90 and off net60 too. But, I expect this build will fail on a workstation with net90 installed, but not net80

Don’t know. Building after installing the net90 SDK will fail.

We did try to raise the dropping of backwards compatibility during net60.

5.X seems to be netstandard21 only. It had built previously.

It is what it is.

And just shooting my shot, I worked in the credit department of legacy retail/textile/clothing manufacturing doing accounts payable/receivable, cc & net60 invoicing and soft collections. Have credits towards CBM through NACM.

If anyone has connections I’m down to network
Guess who got laid off!!

How quickly you’re going to pay me also affects this.

I’m not going below industry standard at Net30, not going below Red Flag at Net60 and if you approach me at Net90 it’s gotta be “Fuck Off” money.
November 17, 2024 at 12:06 PM
ahh, big corporate clients who take 30 days to process an invoice and then net60 pay you two more months later, who doesn't love a quarterly payment

Can you do NET60? I need to move some money around?
May 22, 2024 at 8:48 PM
How did you know? Additionally, I'm pretty sure the SOW said NET30, but they're a giant corporation and I'm not so NET60 it is.

Can we all just agree that NET60 is fucking nonsense?

#rapportannuel
