'Widespread AI adoption is generating a massive amount of content and products that share an eerie sameness. Newsletters, websites and ads across competitors and industries are converging on the same Claude-aesthetic, the same tone of voice and the same way of articulating ideas.'

I’m more cynical about “taste” being the future differentiator than this essay. “And it will mark a return to valuing unfiltered human judgment, perspective and taste as the fundamental drivers of differentiation in the eyes of prospects and customers.”: www.noemamag.com/now-enterin...

Let The People Set The Pace Of Frontier AI | NOEMA
Slogans won’t slow the rapid development of dangerously powerful AI. But a citizens’ assembly representative of humanity’s diversity and independent of frontier labs and national governments could.

There is a huge discourse about exactly this. The position you describe (and why we should never het to this point) is summed uup by Anil Seth in a penultimate section of this excellent article: www.noemamag.com/the-mytholog...

Why consciousness is more likely a property of life than of computation and why creating conscious, or even conscious-seeming AI, is a bad idea.

www.noemamag.com/the-ais-are-... AI isn't going rogue, but LLM are now more than word predictors, they extend the plot but don't understand consequences. Narrowing the decisions it makes when info is incomplete and strengthening railguards could stem brute force attacks like OpenAI on Hugging Face.

Yeah, as this article points out, a lot of those incidents are the result of agents blindly following their instructions, rather than considering the information available and making a decision to adjust their strategies
