Silly indeed. Gaslightling parents is the cheapest option and jumps to the wrong conclusion. A lack of mental health supports does not help. Asking workers to move back into an office will only exacerbate stress for these families. #notfineinschool #nfis

Vg info & signposting on #PIP. Relatedly, those supporting a child or teen who is #notfineinschool, eg who can’t attend due to #schooldistress and unmet #SEND needs, can often claim #DLA - not means-tested. The Cerebra guide is excellent.

Sorry can someone explain this to me? Why are we doing this to children. Child for context is 8, asd, pda, complex sensory profile, in mainstream and this is "fine". I wd love someone to explain to me why this is allowed to happen? Who's interests are served, not the child's. #notfineinschool

Would still need an #EducationOtherwise opt-out for children who are #NotFineInSchool. But improved state schools and colleges that genuinely aim to educate, rather than drill, pupils/students, could reduce that cohort considerably.
