Aquaman week 7 pt3.

King of the Tuatha De Dannan #NuadaSilverHand, #Sreng of the Firbolg, the mother of Deep Blue #Tsunami and Aquaman’s whale friend #Nemek.
Nemek is big whale who helps Aquaman a few times. He’s old and battle-scared, giving Aquaman advice but not always in the most respectful manner. I imagine him as a mentor figure who mostly keeps to himself but helps out when asked nicely. The Theirna Na Oge call their leader a “King” regardless of gender. Bres and the Conclave of 12 ousted and sentenced her to die by Sreng of the Firbolg. She escaped but lost her arm which was replaced with a mystic, cybernetic, organism made of silver and she took the name Silverhand. After he helped get her throne back she became an ally to Aquaman. The monster who took Nuada’s hand. There’s not much info on him so I want to talk about how weird it is that DC gender-bent Bres and Nuada, who are based on figures from Irish myth. If there’s a reason they did this I’d love to hear it. I believe Atlan should have sealed the Abyssal Dark using the Zodiac Crystals, which is why they would have been shattered among the Lost Cities. With most Atlanteans turning from sorcery the crystals power is waning. Miya Shimada was a Japanese-American superhero in WWII who became disillusioned with America due to the treatment of Japanese citizens at the time. She would eventually joins the All-Star Squadron after Neptune Perkins and Green Lantern help her to free Japanese-American prisoners. She eventually has a child with Atlan, who Perkins and the villain Rhombus thinks is their own.
