Vanitera, Year 450 is over. It was a year long Catpahract-based discord wargame featuring 240 players

It was the first big discord game to pop up after O/U and has been a wild experience. I've thought about Vanitera every day for a year. A million lessons learned but overall I'm really happy.
Vanitera ran for 271 game days. 5 Referees ran Vanitera when it finished. 266 characters were played by 240 players. 92 Survived 77 Died 6 Exiled 83 Retired 7 Soul-knifed Since gameday 107, we processed dashboard orders once per day with almost no "rubber-banding". 28 factions rose and fell. Players founded 4 factions. 1 Mercenary group appeared. 7 Rebellions were formed. 8 factions ceased to be. 407 battles were fought, 142 featuring players on both sides. 55,604 letters were sent. That's 205 letters per day, or 1.51 per person per day. Players wrote 5,151,078 words in letters total. 6,970 scenes were started. Players yapped for 950,966 messages (3,509 per day), totalling 17,661,066 words. Across all letters and roleplay scenes, our players wrote 22,812,144 words. That's 38.8 copies of War and Peace. 133 strongholds were captured 241 times. 37 strongholds were pillaged. 128 strongholds were never captured. 4 strongholds were destroyed permanently. 17,738 orders were placed: 17,546 on the dashboard and 192 by scroll emoji in character channels. Players asked 6,984 question mark questions. Players sent 160,320 messages in their own character channels. 747 news posts were generated. 360 Maraga 348 Patlania 39 Paid statements A screenshot of the ending map of one of the continents from Vanitera. Last night was so fun. Everyone loved the decorations. & We were the talk of the neighborhood because we had ramen, Capri suns, stickers, popcorn, temporary tattoos, Squishies, light up glasses & candy, of course. 🥰 We ran out of mostly everything!
