Go was the OTel odd one out. No VM to hook into, so instrumentation meant eBPF or manual code.

otelc v1 changes that. It instruments Go at compile time.

Goのコンパイル時計装ツールotelcが、context.Contextを伝搬させないコードでもspanを紐づけられる仕組みを解説しています。
otelcはビルド時にruntimeパッケージのg構造体を改造してGLS（goroutine-local storage）を実装し、ctxが空の際にそこから親spanを補完します。
これにより、ソースコードを修正せずにレガシーな実装でも分散トレーシングが可能になります。
